[Dean leaned against him and watched the sea lions swim and play or just lay around looking goofy. She couldn't help but grin. They were so funny looking. And those ridiculous sounds they made!] Crazy that they aren't scared of people at all. I swear that big one's giving me a dirty look...

Well, that could be because you said he was so ugly, he's cute. [He gave a teasing look.] Kind of a double-sided compliment, you know?

Aww, c'mon. It was a compliment! [She laughed and stuck her tongue out at the big seal. Then she glanced up and gave Sam the same treatment.] You're cute and cute, though.

[He rolled his eyes, though he couldn't quite help the fond look on his face when he looked back at her.] And you're a sap.

Am not. I just tell the truth. [She poked him lightly in the side and then leaned against him again, content to watch the big animals playing in the water for a while. The air off the water was chilly in her next to nothing attire, though, so she probably wouldn't want to stay too long.]

I'm not cute, dude. Puppies are cute. [He tightened his arms around her, rubbing her shoulder lightly as they stood around. Kind of... nice to be able to do this and not worry about people seeing him cuddle with his own brother. Maybe he was kind of sappy too.]

You're adorable. Just like a puppy. [She wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned her head against his chest. It was early enough that the pier was still fairly empty. The crowds would come later, she supposed.] So what did you do last time you were here?

Shut up, Dean. [He was still smiling though, rubbing a hand over her shoulder when she leaned in like that, settled in against him.] Wasn't long after I got settled up here... came up here for the weekend with some friends. I was still pretty new so they were mostly showing me around. Came out here the first day, hit up some shops they wanted to go to, some museums, stuff like that... Never got to go see Alcatraz though.

[He gave her a look, shrugging.] And of course they dragged me out to some clubs and crap at night. Pretty much insisted. Bet some of the places'd be ones you'd want to check out.

Did you wanna see Alcatraz? [She looked up at him, smiling pleasantly. She wouldn't mind seeing it, but she knew it was probably a lengthy thing. Didn't know if he wanted to take up that much time.] We can do the club thing if you want...

Sure. Do you? [He looked down at her, shrugging.] It's your day, Dean.

[He snorted.] Not particularly.

Definitely. Always wanted to see it. [She smiled a little at his snort. Yeah, didn't figure Sam would be interested in the night club idea. Dean wasn't really into it, either. She could see clubs anywhere. There were better things to see and do here.] C'mon. Wanna go grab some tickets for the next boat out?

[He was kind of relieved she didn't jump on the bar hopping idea--Sam wasn't really into doing it that often. He nodded, starting to draw away from her a little.] Yeah, sure. Let's go.

[Dean tried not to make Sam do too much stuff that he didn't like. She wanted him to be happy and enjoy being out with her.]

[She took his hand again and headed off down the pier toward the ticket booth for the ferry that operated between the mainland and Alcatraz island. Dean didn't much like boats, but it was a short ride and the only way to reach their destination.]

[As long as boats didn't make her spazz out the same way flying apparently did, Sam didn't mind a short ride, himself. Figured it'd be fine though since they were going some place Dean had always wanted to check out and hey, it did sound pretty interesting...]

[Flying was still way, way worse. Dean would ride on a thousand boats before she'd get on one airplane. She stood in the line for tickets, holding Sam's hand and bouncing on the balls of her feet, looking every which way to take in the Alcatraz trivia and memorabilia posted around.] S'pose it's actually haunted?

[He grinned a little at the question, shrugging.] I don't know... there's definitely a lot of stories about it, but not all of them seem too credible. Going to keep an eye out?

Sure, why not? Could be cool. Not like they're hurting anybody if there are ghosts. [A place with such a violent history was prime real estate for hauntings. It would be fun, either way.]

Yeah... [He snorted.] As long as you're not going to drag me along for a ghost hunt, dude, I'm fine with checking it out. [Because yeah, no one had been hurt or anything.]

I am capable of restraining myself, ya'know. [She nudged him with her elbow as they stepped up to the ticket counter. The next boat didn't leave for another half hour, so they had time to look around some more before the ride over.]

We'll see. [He teased lightly.] Self-restraint's never been your strong point, dude. [Taking her hand again after they got their tickets, he gave her a playful tug.] Come on... let's walk around some more.

[Dean held onto Sam's hand and let him pull her.] Got an idea on where to go?

Not really... Figured we can just see if anything catches our eye? [He paused, looking back at her.]

Sounds good. [She leaned up to kiss his cheek and smiled, turning her attention to all the stores and shops around them.] Wanna see if we can find something for lunch before we go? Don't think they have much in the way of food on the island.

[He leaned into that kiss before giving a nod.] Yeah, that's a good idea, actually. We should have enough tie to grab something quick.

[The scent of something good caught her attention as they walked and she followed it, tugging Sam gently along until they reached a bakery. A sign on the door advertised lunch sandwiches on fresh made bread and soup in bread bowls. Dean glanced up at her brother.] Sound good?
