This was nice. A lot nicer than Dean might have liked to admit. Just having Sam there, head on his chest, held close was perfect. He joked back and forth with his brother, laughing at the bizarre bits and just generally enjoying himself.

Every so often, he'd tease Sam's head back for a kiss.

It was almost like a normal night minus some glaring facts. He tipped back into those kisses whenever Dean teased him up, smiling against them until he was eventually peppering some kisses under the other's jawline affectionately because sometimes, just fooling around with Dean was pretty fun even if it didn't lead anywhere but a few new marks on his skin.

Dean sighed softly at the kissing. He curled a little more around Sam and held on tighter. It felt good to just sit there with him and make out a little. Kissing and touching soft and easy.

His hand combed through Sam's hair and rubbed at his neck softly. "Love you," he murmured.

Definitely nice to just stay like this awhile. He gave a pleasant noise at the touches, practically purring at a few of them. "Love you too, Dean..."

He tipped his head back or press a proper kiss to Dean's lips, his hand dipping down to rest low on his brother's waist and draw him in a little closer. "Dean..." He brought up a hand to rest on the side of his face then. "Love you. Glad you're here with me."

Because he was pretty sure if Dean wasn't here, he'd be even more of a wreck. At least with his brother here, he had a reason to try and keep it together a little.

"Me too. Don't want to be anywhere else." Dean had almost always considered his home to be wherever Sam was, even before they'd gone to bed together. It was even more true now. He was just happier in general when Sam was nearby.

"Always got your back, Sammy. Always."

"I know, Dean..." The sex, what this relationship was... it didn't factor in to the fact that no matter how far he tried to get away, being with Dean felt more like home than anywhere else. Dean meant home and on some level, he still meant safety and security. He didn't need Dean to take care of him anymore, to protect him, but it was nice to know his brother had his back still.

He shifted up slowly, drawing way from his brother. "Hey... want another drink or anything?"

Dean loosened his hold on Sam when he pulled away and nodded. "Sure, whatever you're gonna have is fine."

He popped another chip into his mouth and chewed as he watched Sam get up. Wondered if Sam planned to get trashed tonight? Wouldn't be a horrible thing, if he did. Sam was a happy drunk, most of the time.

Decided to go with the whiskey then. As comfortable as the night was, as much as he was enjoying watching cheesy TV, he'd honestly like another distraction. It was sinking in that he'd lost that normal life, that there wasn't any going back...

And it was scary to think about the options he was faced with now. Did they try and do it again? Start over and maybe fail... or what. Sam couldn't live on the road again like this. Not for forever. There wasn't any future in it... at least not one he'd want.

He couldn't get into that right now, didn't want to.

So distraction it was. Putting the bottle closer to the bed, he passed one of the two glasses over and settled in, reaching for a handful of chips.

It made Dean a little nervous to be hanging in limbo like this. Still, it wasn't anything terribly different from the majority of the rest of his life. With the exception of the first four years of his life and the one spent with Sam at Stanford, Dean had always been on the road, blowing in the wind.

He'd chafed at it less than Sam, though. His brother was still reaching for the brass ring of 'normal life'.

Dean sipped the whiskey, sliding his free arm around Sam again. Just to be close.

Sam had never even had another kind of life... at least not one he could remember. He'd been a baby when he'd been pulled out of that fire and then it had been travel and motel after crappy motel for the most part.

He didn't want this kind of life again exactly.

But he wasn't going to think about that now. He took a drink from his glass and settled back in against Dean as he tried to focus on the TV again. Eventually, it started to work and he relaxed against him again.

Dean would do his level best to give Sam any life he asked for. All he wanted was to see his brother happy somewhere. As long as it was with him. Well, hell... even if it wasn't with him. Although, he'd prefer it.

His fingertips rubbed Sam's upper arm lightly as his brother leaned into him. He sipped his whiskey and munched on the chips, not really watching the television anymore.

He tipped his head back against Dean, tipping his head back to press a soft kiss to the other's jawline before nuzzling into him, letting out a soft sigh. "Doesn't look like you're really all that interested in the show anymore," he murmured softly.

"I've seen them," he answered just as soft with a shrug and apologetic smile. He hadn't meant to pull Sam away from it if he was enjoying it. "You know me. Easily distracted. You can keep watching, though. I'm not gonna start snoring or anything..."

"It's fine," he murmured. Didn't really mind... they'd probably seen all these a dozen times before probably. He shifted away to pour more in his glass, shifting until his head was back on the other's chest. "Wouldn't be the first time you started snoring on me either, dude."

Dean reached a hand up to run through Sam's hair and hold him a little closer to his chest. chuckled softly and shook his head. "I don't snore! I'm far too delicate and demure for that."

"... You know, you're just going to give me a reason to record you while you sleep, dude. You totally snore." He turned his head, pressing an affectionate kiss to the other's chest, eyes darting up to meet his. "And there's nothing delicate about you, jerk."

"Pfft. Never." He totally did, but there was no reason to admit to it when he could argue instead! Arguing with Sam, when it didn't actually get him in trouble, was one of his favorite things. He smiled at the kiss and dropped one on top of Sam's head. "I'm fragile."

"Since when?" He snorted, nudging at the other. He and Dean excelled at stupid arguments and bickering that meant nothing in the end--it was kind of their job as brothers. "You're too much of a jerk to be fragile."

"Since always, dude! You're just hearing things in your old age." It wasn't fun if they weren't bickering about something. It was the sport they both excelled at. "I'm totally not a jerk, bitch."

He grinned and kissed Sam long and deep. Just to shut him up. Really.

"If I'm old, you're ancient then--" And whatever else he was going to say to that bitch comment was kind of cut off when Dean decided to kiss him like that.

He might have been one of the most perfect ways for Dean to end bickering matches, actually because it definitely distracted Sam enough for continuing to bitch. He let out a soft noise into the kiss, returning it eagerly, nipping at his lower lip lightly.

This was Dean's very favorite form of ending a conversation. It usually led to much better things than playful arguments. Dean made a soft sound when Sam nipped at his lip and he returned the favor, teasing at his brother's mouth a moment before kissing him again. A little harder this time.

Sam shifted a little, blindly putting his glass down in favor of rolling closer to Dean, settling half on top of him as the kiss deepened. Definitely a great way to end an argument and Sam was definitely feeling receptive to the affection.

Dean sank a little more into the pillows and the bed, pulling Sam tight against him. Kissed him back with all the passion and affection his brother was giving him. His hands slipped under the back of Sam's shirt to touch skin, smoothing down the long line of his brother's spine.

He parted from that kiss soon after he felt his broher's hand smoothing up his spine, giving a pleasant sigh. "Dean..." He tilted his head, nuzzling into the other, kissing here and there along his jaw. "Aiming for another kind of entertainment?"

"When am I not?" He teased gently, holding Sam closer and running his hands along the lines of his body. "Course, this is nice, too. I like kissing and touching you. Not like we're in a hurry."
