When Sam woke, it was in a bed that wasn't his own and without his dad or brother in sight... needless to say, there was a lot of freaking out. He fumbled out of bed and went looking through the apartment he was in... only to find a dog and not much else. Nothing that would tell him where he was anyway or where Dad or Dean was, when they'd be back.
He even got desperate enough to grab the phone and try their numbers... only to find them no longer in use which was just... even weirder. Now he was even more worried.

After this though? He might just want something to eat, maybe to go back home and relax.

"I guess this is the place."

There was seriously a pirate. Not a great pirate, but a pirate and that earned another laugh. "Looks like it, yeah."

Their pirate guide led them through the various squares, Savannah had dozens of them, and pointed out the highlights. There was one where a 'witch' was supposedly hung and in that square alone, no Spanish moss would grow on any of the trees. All the other trees in all the other squares had moss growing. He walked them by the house where famous Savannah resident Jim Williams lived and died. They strolled past a house that was once a mortuary until the morticians who owned it were found to be 'losing' parts of the people they were paid to embalm. The cobblestone street outside the house, according to the guide, had once been torn up to find human hands, feet, and other parts buried underneath.

No wonder Dean liked it here so much... had the kinda stuff that was right up his alley. Witches and creepy morticians apparently. Maybe the last one wasn't exactly up their alley, but that didn't make it any less weird to hear about people finding humans parts around.

When the tour ended, Dean tipped the pirate dude and grinned at his brother. "Not bad, huh?"

Dad usually never let the do this kind of stuff, not too often anyway. It really was pretty interesting. Still weird to think this was Dean though... he was so much bigger and older.
"Think we can go home and get something to eat, Dean? Getting kinda hungry now."

When they got closer to the apartment, he followed Dean inside. He was getting kinda tired now,so he was looking forward to the rest. They'd been walking practically all over Savannah today... a breather sounded kind of nice.

Dean left Sam with the TV, the book shelf, and the puppy in the living room. In the kitchen, he got to work on dinner. Steaks and baked potatoes were always a winning combination. He'd even put a salad together just to forestall any complaining.

He had to admit, whatever he was making smelled good.

"You really cooked this?" It actually looked good... He was pretty surprised actually.

"Moocher," he complained and got a tail wag for his trouble.

"Bet you're still gonna give him some anyway."
