"Yeah... well, we can do this, stop by the store for some supplies... then head in for movies?" He was looking forward to that too. Junk food, booze, and movies... he wasn't used to having time to kick back and do stuff like that, but it'd be a nice distraction.

Inside, he gave Ozzy fresh food and water, then they curled up on the bed to watch Croc Hunter re-runs on Animal Planet while they waited for Sam.
Oddly, living with Sam for this long had made Dean better at being alone. Before, being alone was all miserable emptiness and worry. Uncertainty made him anxious. Now, he knew Sam was coming back when he left on his own for a time and he knew that Sam would be there to come back to if Dean needed space.
Dean looked up and grunted when four paws jabbed into his stomach as Ozzy raced over him to get to Sam. "Welcome back."

"Hey..." He smiled when Ozzy rushed over to him, going to put the bags on the table so he could bend down and pick him up. Tipping his head back a little when the excited pup went straight to lick his chin, he peered over at the TV.
"Animal Planet, huh?" Putting Ozzy down, he went to put the snacks up, the beer in the small fridge, and the booze he left out on the small table.

"I like the comfort of knowing that however far off the reservation I ever go, I will never be as nuts as this guy." He smiled and glanced at the TV, shaking his head in bemusement as the nutjob jumped onto the back of a crocodile. Yeah, not gonna happen.
He sat up against the headboard and shifted over to leave space for Sam if he wanted to sit. "How was the drive? Get anything good?"

But he kept quiet for now. Mood was good, so no reason to potentially sour it.
He joined Dean soon enough, leaning against the other and nodding slowly. "Yeah, got some snacks, some drinks... Decided to pass up the Vodka since I don't think the cleaning crew here would appreciate any fast food nailed to the wall." He flashed a teasing look.
"Yeah, the drive was fine. Just checked out the town... not a lot to do here, so maybe we should think about leaving soon."

He wrapped an arm around Sam when he leaned against him. "Sounds good. And I still maintain that nugget sacrilege was your doing. I'd have eaten it."
He turned and kissed Sam's temple lightly. "Whenever you want. I'm not attached to the place."
no subject
"Yeah, okay..." He'd look some places up later or something.

"You okay with this, or wanna watch something else?" Figured now was a good time to drop the moving subject. It just made Sam more unhappy.

He didn't really want to think about a trip or going back to the apartment or... anything. He didn't know what to do about any of it and he hated not knowing a plan, not seeing a way out. Dean was pretty much all he had in his life again besides their dog... grateful as he was for that, it still just... sucked. Too much of a freak to have normal friends, a normal life if he was being even somewhat honest or if people got too close. But he still didn't want to end this with Dean even if it meant they'd either have to lie about their relationship or pretend to not be brothers.
Idly his fingers traced up the other's sides, eventually trailing up to tangle his hands around the amulet around Dean's neck. "Dude, this guy really is insane... who does even half this crap? He's actually poking at something he just got done saying could kill him."

"You should have seen the previews for the next episode, dude. He was fucking with spitting cobras." Dean shook his head, smirking. "Seemed really fucking surprised when one spit at him."

He looked up. "Maybe it's time to find a movie on and dig into those snacks."

"Yes, dear." He teased playfully.

"We're not some old married couple."
