Happy Birthday [For samefivealbums]

He rolled his eyes, though fondly, as he got up and gave Dean a tug to follow once he got the bill covered. "Come on... wanna get you back home, Dean... we can start to celebrate for real."

Though he wasn't too big on drinking anymore tonight. Kind of wanted to be sober for the night's festivities. He leaned in to speak against the other's ear, "Got a night planned for you, man. Hope you're ready."

Dean laughed a little and followed Sam into the shower. He pulled the curtain closed and slipped his arms around Sam's waist. Nuzzled in at the back of his neck. "Love you."

"Love you too," he murmured, grabbing for the soap and turning to wash the other off. Hey, Dean said quick, not hands off. He figured that he could touch a little.

If Sam wanted to get handsy, Dean was more than happy to let him. He sighed happily under his touch, eyes falling closed to enjoy the washing.

He leaned in to press a quick kiss to the other's lips before he drew away. "You're all clean, Dean."

"Mmmm... my turn, then." Dean grinned at the kiss and took the soap from Sam, going to work on washing him down.

Sam sighed at the touch of hands against his body, leaning into Dean contentedly as he worked. "Mmm, feels good, Dean." He sighed out pleasantly, pressing closer.

"Yeah? Good." Dean took his time washing Sam down, even though he'd said a quick shower. He couldn't stop himself from enjoying touching Sam when he got the chance. Finally, he stopped and pulled Sam under the water to rinse off. "All done."

Sam didn't protest, enjoying the way that Dean's hands felt over his body as he slouched into him a little, tipping his head in to nuzzle at him. But then it was all over and he reluctantly let himself be pulled under the water to rinse off. "Mm... c'mon, let's get out."

He turned off the water and stepped out, grabbing two towels and handing one back to Sam. After he dried himself off, he stepped back into the bedroom and pulled on a pair of old jeans to wear around the house. He could get more respectably dressed later before they took Ozzy out.

But first? Pie!

He stopped off to slip into his jeans and a t-shirt before going to the kitchen. He was pretty hungry now and the pie sounded good... Dean should be happy he'd gotten apple after that last cherry pie incident--no matter how funny it had been to see Dean act like a virgin all over again.

Dean was definitely glad to see no cherries involved. Although, if Sam wanted him to play virgin, he could play the role. Someday he might even suggest it to see if Sam turned red or not.

He pulled down a couple plates and dished up slices of pie for them. Got out forks and set them on the table. If someone had told him a year ago he'd be celebrating his birthday by lazing around the apartment in a slave collar and eating pie, he never would have believed it. A grin twitched his lips as he sat down opposite his brother. Why had he thought settled life would be boring, again?

Sam would probably turn pretty red, if asked that. But right now, he was grabbing his plate to bring it a little closer, taking a bite of it. He looked up across the table, watching his brother quietly a moment. "What are you grinning for, dude?"

It was nice... seeing Dean happy and settled in this life with him. Something he'd never thought would have happened.

Dean looked up and smiled a little more, nudging Sam under the table with his foot. "Nothin'. Just enjoying my birthday with my brother."

In spite of what caused the move and all the upheaval, Dean was happy there. It kind of surprised him how much he liked being a little bit 'normal'. Just a little.

"Yeah... I'm enjoying it too, man." He smiled a little bit at the nudge. He was happy... maybe it had been hard at first, considering what caused all this, but... He liked it.

Liked having Dean here with him, liked how normal they were. "You know what? I forgot to get you a candle, dude... I guess no birthday wishes this year."

"Good." As long as they were both happy, everything else could fall into place. Hopefully. He was going to try and make sure it did, anyway.

He laughed softly and shook his head at the idea of birthday wishes. "I've got what I need. What else could I possibly have to wish for?"

He laughed a little at that. That was kinda nice to hear... pretty sweet, actually. "Yeah? You can't think of anything you'd like to wish for at all?"

Part of him might wish, a little, that Dad would come around and forgive them, but not enough to voice it out loud and ruin the moment. Besides, he had Sam and given the choice between Dad and Sam, he'd take Sam easily.

Other than that? He shook his head. "Can't really think of anything, man. I've got you, Ozzy, a decent apartment, a fun job. I don't really need much more than that."

Dad coming around would be... nice, if Sam were being honest. It wasn't like he didn't miss the man sometimes, even if they rarely got along. He wasn't dwelling on him though, was still pretty pissed on the way he'd left them, what he said to Dean.

Things were good now, anyway. He smiled a little. "Yeah, things are pretty good, huh?" He leaned forward, smiling a little more. "Think you'll ever get sick of it?"

"Only if you leave me," he teased back. As long as Sam was with him, he was happy. He reached over and squeezed his hand lightly. "You?"

He shifted his hand in the other's to hold on lightly, return that squeeze. "I'm not leaving you, Dean..." They'd come a little too far for Sam to consider that now.

Besides, he was happy, just like this. "Nope. This is... kind of what I've always wanted, Dean. I definitely don't think I'll get tired of it."

He laughed a little and shook his head, tossing his brother a wink. "Can't imagine that what you've always wanted included a whole lotta naked me in them, but I appreciate you adjusting to fit me in."

He laughed quietly at that. "Well... that's a little difficult to answer." Because he'd certainly pictured a whole lotta naked Dean at one point in his life, but yeah, he couldn't say that had been his plan when he left for college. "But it's definitely a good addition."

Dean remembered Sam telling him after they'd moved to Savannah that he used to have other than brotherly thoughts about him while he was younger. Dean had been too messed up about Dad at the time to really think about it at the time. It still kind of puzzled him. As much as they fought and butted heads during those years, Dean sometimes wondered if Sam even liked him, let alone wanted him. Of course, he didn't figure Sam would say it if it wasn't true.

He gently took his hand back to finish off his pie, still smiling a little. Regardless of the past, they were together now and he was happy now.

"Any thoughts on what you want when we get back from the walk?"

Sam had spent his time pretty much fighting with both Dad and Dean... Dean more because he'd go along with Dad, no question at all and Dad because--well, he couldn't be in the same room with the man for five minutes without butting heads. Still it didn't mean he hadn't liked Dean, even if he'd been irritated as hell with him at the time.

Besides, back then? It had probably been more physical than anything, fueled more by pent up hormones and not very many outlets.

"Hm, your day, Dean. We can just hang out or break in some more of those toys." They were together now and definitely happy. He finished off his pie soon and stood up to put dishes in the sink for later.
