Sam kept Ozzy's attention on him as much as he could while Dean snooped through his toy collection... though he couldn't hold it for forever. Knew Ozzy would know what was up soon enough... which was just as well, all things considered. He didn't want to have to fish dog toys out from under the bed later.

Just about the time Dean found something interesting to steal, Ozzy heard him rustling around in his stuff. The puppy darted away from Sam to inspect Dean again with copious amounts of sniffing and licking.

Dean hopped away, doing his ferret war dance to try and repel the invader, but Ozzy just thought it was a game and chased after him.

Sam laughed a little as Dean hopped around... oh, that as so intimidating. Ozzy must have missed the memo since he was chasing Dean around like it was some fun game, going as far as to even try to swat at him.

He was a great and mighty animal! ... who was getting held down by a dog paw and licked within an inch of his life. He was so not happy, right now. He squeaked pitifully and tried to wiggle away.

Totally! He was fearsome,even. Especially when he was squeaking and wiggling around under Ozzy who honestly, probably saw Dean as a new, fun toy that could move entirely on its own. He shooed the puppy away, ruffling his hair to give his brother a chance to escape. "Dude, go on, you're free."

Dean disappeared under the bed again. He was grossed out and afraid of getting chewed on like a squeaky toy. Yeah, he was so not coming out again.

... Oh crap. Maybe he should have snatched the little guy up before he darted under the bed because if Dean was that spooked, he was probably staying under there. He gave Ozzy another pat affectionately before going to kneel by the bed, peek under. "Dean... come on, you can't stay under there."

Except he could. Sam was kind of big to get too far under the bed.

Dean was huddled by the wall right in the middle of the bed where Sam and Ozzy couldn't reach him. He rubbed himself against the wall and the carpet to try and get the doggy slobber off. He gave Sam a pitiful look and an unhappy sound, then flopped down on his stolen sock.

Aww, he looked pitiful really and as a way to call a truce, Sam reached a hand under the bed to try and pet him... if he could reach. The chances didn't look too good. "How about I get you something to eat? You'd lke that, right?"

Sam's had was watched suspiciously. But, then he mentioned food and Dean realized he was pretty hungry. His little ferret metabolism was working overtime. Inch by inch, he moved a little closer and nosed at Sam's fingers. Eventually, he let Sam pull him out from under the bed and pick him up.

Alright then, time for a lift to the kitchen to look through the fridge. Not like he had ferret food on hand and he didn't know if he should eat Ozzy's... but they did have some leftovers and some stuff they'd gotten for sandwiches. He was trying the chicken first, taking a tiny little bite and held it out to the other. "How do you like that?"

Chicken! Dean gnawed on it enthusiastically, careful of Sam's fingers. He didn't want to get himself dropped or not fed! When it was gone, he looked up and gave his brother a hopeful look.

Looked like he enjoyed that, so, he offered him a little more, taking what he thought the other could handle and moving to the table to feed him. He put him on the table and offered another bite. "Go on."

Dean happily dove in when he was given permission. He wolfed down the chicken like it was the best thing ever. Right now, it kinda was. Soon, his stomach was full, though. He yawned and stretched, much more content now that he was fed and not being chewed on.

Food was hard to resist. Especially something he liked that well. As long as Ozzy couldn't get to him, he guessed he'd be fine.

He leaned over and took the chicken from Sam's fingers, nibbling hungrily on it.

He smiled. "You're still kind of a pig as a ferret too, you know." He had just ate earlier... but Sam didn't mind giving him little bites of food, watching him nibble eagerly on it.

Dean gave him a sour look, still a little touchy about the whole 'pig' thing. He finished off the piece he was eating and refused the rest, squirming to get down.

He didn't know ferrets could give such sour looks. He held on when the other squirmed. "Hey... hey, I didn't mean it, okay? Settle down."

He relented though and put Dean on the ground.

He huffed a sigh and wandered out of the kitchen, careful to look around for Ozzy before he snuck out.

Sam watched the other go out of the kitchen and tilted his head to watch where he was going... and to make sure he didn't end up in Ozzy's mouth again.

Dean skated around the edges of the room to stay out of Ozzy's eyesight and wandered into the bedroom, heading back to his little stash under the bed. He flopped down on Sam's sock and huffed an unhappy sigh.

Sam let Dean slink off back under the bed for now, deciding to do whatever little cleaning up needed to be done in the kitchen for now and then taking the time to snatch a toy from Ozzy's collection--some little ball that he figured was bright and attention grabbing enough to maybe get Dean's attention.

He stretched out beside the bed and peeked under, rolling the ball teasingly on the floor next to him. "Gotcha' something... wanna see?"

When he heard Sam come in, he looked over to watch Sam's feet appear beside the bed, then Sam's face when he stretched out. The ball did catch his attention and he turned his head to watch it roll back and forth across the floor.

He got up and wandered closer to watch.

Sam gave a playful, challenging look as he rolled the toy again. It was tiny enough, he figured, that Dean should be able to play with it. "You want it?"

Dean poked his head out from under the bed and watched the ball roll. When it got closer, he bounced forward to make a grab for it. His paw bumped it and sent it rolling again. He chased after it.

Sam laughed, watching Dean chase the toy as he pawed it around... well, it was a lot easier to get back on his good side like this from the looks of it.
