When Sam woke, it was in a bed that wasn't his own and without his dad or brother in sight... needless to say, there was a lot of freaking out. He fumbled out of bed and went looking through the apartment he was in... only to find a dog and not much else. Nothing that would tell him where he was anyway or where Dad or Dean was, when they'd be back.

He even got desperate enough to grab the phone and try their numbers... only to find them no longer in use which was just... even weirder. Now he was even more worried.

"Jealous." Dean pulled into the parking lot of the arcade. He stopped the engine and looked over at his brother. "Ready?"

He climbed out of the car and headed for the door, making sure Sam was behind him. At least the place didn't look to be overrun by little kids. There were a few Sam's age and some parents milling around. Not bad at all.

"Oh, totally. I wish I could come up with pick up lines as lame as yours so bad, Dean." At the question, he nodded and followed Dean inside. Thankfully, Dean hadn't chosen a kiddy place. At least there were some kids that looked around his age.

He grinned and reached up to idly tug at Dean's shirt. "You ready to lose, dude?"

"Lose? I don't know the meaning of the word!" He smirked at Sam and reached into his wallet to pull out some bills. He handed Sam a $10 and led the way over to the token machine. "Skee-ball winner gets to pick the next game. Which means I have to win so you don't pick something lame like whack-a-mole..."

"I don't play whack-a-mole, Dean." He rolled his eyes and went to feed the money into the token machine. "But you'll just pick skee-ball again if you win... it's the only thing you might win at."

"Whatever you say, Sammy." Dean watched him get the tokens and debated popping in another ten, but he supposed he could wait and see how fast they ran through these. Dean headed for the skee-ball lanes and let Sam choose which ones to use. "You ready?"

He chose the ones he wanted to test out and flashed a grin at his brother. "You wanna start us off, dude? Let's see what you got." And if that big ego of his was actually warranted.

Dean stepped up to the lane beside Sam's and fed a couple of tokens into the machine. He picked up a ball and grinned. "Watch and learn, Sammy!"

He rolled the ball up the alley and landed it into the 25 point slot.

"Not horrible." But it wasn't amazing either! He started to feed some tokens into his own machine and rolled a ball up--and landed on 25 too. He frowned a little at that because he'd wanted to get higher, do something impressive because- well.

Just because.

Getting praise out of his brother at least felt good.

"Not bad, dude." Dean grinned. He wasn't going to try too hard to win. It was more fun to see Sam having a good time and he knew how happy the kid would be to best his big brother at something.

His next ball only hit a 15. He shrugged and nodded at his brother. "Hit it, dude."

Sam managed another 25 and he grinned a little - getting a win over Dean? It was always awesome. Meant he had gloating rights for awhile. "See if you can do better, Dean."

Dean chuckled at Sam's gloating smile and nodded, reaching for another ball. He made a good show of aiming and still managed to only snag a 15. He gave Sam a sideways glance. "I think you gave me the rigged table, Sammy."

"Dude, they don't rig the tables!" He was grinning through, aiming his ball and managing a 35 this time. He let out a proud, happy 'hah' as he looked up at Dean.

"Nice one." He reached over and ruffled Sam's hair lightly. Yeah, it was much more fun to see Sam win than to really try for it himself. Especially when his brother was clearly having such a good time.

Dean picked up another ball and sank it into the 25. "Alright, maybe you're better at skee-ball than I am. Maybe..."

"Told you." He nudged Dean playfully in the side and rolled his ball again, getting a 15. "I think we should try one of the shooting ones after this... since I'm totally gonna win."

"Yeah, okay dude." Dean happened to be awesome at shooting. It was kind of his thing. Still, he didn't much care what they did. It was nice to hang out with Sam and see him having a good time. Those memories were few and far between from when they were growing up.

He chucked another ball down the lane and sank a 10.

He knew Dean was good at shooting... well, they kind of both were thanks to Dad making them train so much. It was just nice to hang out like this and after rolling his next ball and getting a 10 himself, he looked back over at Dean.

"Do we do this a lot? I mean, go out together and stuff?"

"Yeah, we hang out a lot. We've both made some friends and go out with them sometimes. We also hang out, just us." He sank his last ball in the 15 and then reached down to pull the prize tickets from the dispenser. He handed them to Sam and waved a hand to the rest of the arcade. "Pick your next game, Sammy."

"Good." Because today was turning out surprisingly fun. He looked around and spotted some shooter that looked like it had zombies or something, so he went over to that one.

"Winner gets to pick the next game again?"

"Sounds good." Dean followed him to the next game. Oooh, zombies! Right up his alley. He grinned and dropped the tokens in to start the game. "You want red or blue?"

"I'll take blue." He reached for his own controller and just because he knew Dean--

"No cheating or trying to distract me either, dude."

"Would I do that?" Dean asked with his most innocent face...

... as he reached over and flicked Sam's ear playfully.

"Yes!" Because he totally just did...and Sam missed his shot! Totally sucked.

That just meant Dean was getting elbowed in return. Served him right!

Dean laughed when the bump knocked his aim off, too. They spent most of the next game failing their shots because of the bumping and squabbling. It was more fun that way!

By the time they finished, their scores were both pretty bad from all the bickering and trying to find ways to throw each other off, but Sam wasn't too bothered.

Except he totally had to give Dean a bitchface, even if it was half-hearted. Just for show. "Okay, fine, you choose the next game, Dean."

"Racing game time. If there's one thing I know, it's driving." Dean grinned and slung an arm around Sam's shoulders to guide him over to some Indy 500 game. Didn't matter what they did, really. He was having a good time.
