When Sam woke, it was in a bed that wasn't his own and without his dad or brother in sight... needless to say, there was a lot of freaking out. He fumbled out of bed and went looking through the apartment he was in... only to find a dog and not much else. Nothing that would tell him where he was anyway or where Dad or Dean was, when they'd be back.
He even got desperate enough to grab the phone and try their numbers... only to find them no longer in use which was just... even weirder. Now he was even more worried.

Except he totally had to give Dean a bitchface, even if it was half-hearted. Just for show. "Okay, fine, you choose the next game, Dean."

And Dean seemed to actually be enjoying just what they were doing without getting distracted by girls every five minutes--which was even cooler. That could get a little annoying, even if Sam kind of got why Dean was so interested now that he was a little older.
The no hunting thing was an even bigger plus.
"You're gonna be embarrassed if I beat you at this, Dean."

"Never happen, dude. I'm a master." He slid behind the wheel and popped in the tokens to start the game.

Jerk. "We'll see, Dean."
Even if racing games weren't exactly his favorite...

His brother was a dork... and kinda embarrassing. He shook his head, snorting in amusement. "You dork."

And he totally wasn't going to argue about the slushies either.

Still had a lot of questions that kept nagging at him though.
Mostly the bed thing... Dean's explanation had been pretty weak at best after all. He didn't think his brother would explain though. Dean was stubborn like that.

Eventually, he'd have to resort to the truth and... he really just didn't know if he could handle hearing how sick and wrong he was from Sam. That might just end him.

And it wasn't because they switched out, he figured.
But all the implications... he didn't know how to deal with them.
So for now, Sam went with the easy questions. "Where do you want to go after this, Dean?"
