S A M W I N C H E S T E R
A B O U T Sam Winchester has never known a normal life. He's known open roads, a father he prefers absent more days than not, and a protective big brother who's spent more time raising him anyway. He's known things that used to give him nightmares too... monsters and things that he wished belonged only in horror movies. He knows how to use firearms and fight with his bare hands, he knows how to protect himself from ghosts and all the monsters that go bump in the night. He's the weird new kid, the one who never gets to stick around in one place for long or make lasting friends, even though he's friendly and intelligent, empathetic to a fault. Though he might not act like it as much as he did when he was younger, he's still got a bit of hero-worship lingering for his big brother, Dean, and would do anything for him really. Most of all Sam Winchester just wants to be normal. He wants to stay in one place, have friends, go to the same school, and just be safe for once in his life.
V E R S E S default; Sam is still in high school, though almost finished. He's still planning on going to college, trying to deal with hunting, and just keep himself together until he can (hopefully) do something he actually wants with his life for once. college; _{(with samefivealbums)} Sam is 20 years old and enrolled at Stanford, living the life he'd cut out for himself. Dean came up for a surprise visit to make amends after Sam left and, though reluctant at first, Sam went out with him. He'd missed his big brother after all... he just didn't expect that night to end uqite the way it did. Dean spent the night and once again, Sam's been pulled away from his 'normal' life in a way he doesn't quite mind after they kind of end up fooling around. After months of visits behind Dad's back whenever Dean could get time to come up and coming to terms with what's become of their relationship, his brother is now staying with him in what's now their apartment, working part time as a bartender. Though Dean still takes local cases that Bobby sends his way, Sam is still focused as much as ever on his classes and just hopes that nothing ends up ruining this life they've carved out for themselves (and that Dad never quite finds out what his sons are up to).
