"Yeah... well, we can do this, stop by the store for some supplies... then head in for movies?" He was looking forward to that too. Junk food, booze, and movies... he wasn't used to having time to kick back and do stuff like that, but it'd be a nice distraction.

"Can't believe your idea of fun is still the park either..."

"I love parks. You used to, too."

He snorted, tilting his head forward as Dean tugged the swing back. "Yeah, when we were kids, dude. That was back when Bobby would let us slack off on whatever Dad wanted us to practice sometimes and take us there himself... Remember that?" He paused, tilting his head back to try and catch a glimpse of Dean. "So... definitely been awhile since then."
But okay, so this wasn't bad. Even if it felt kind of dorky to have big bro pushing him on the swing again.

"That was awesome. We should swing by sometime and see if he'll take us to the park again."

But he wasn't in too big a hurry yet.

"You know- we're going to have to come up with something to tell people. You say you want to visit Bobby a lot and well, if I'm with you... He's going to be curious, right? I can't lie and say I'm still in school." He frowned, hesitant.
"And Dad... if we ever meet up with him again- he'll want to know for sure."

"We don't have to visit Bobby a lot, but you're right... we're gonna have to think of something to tell him." He frowned, squeezing Sam's hand lightly. God, he hated this. "We could... tell them something accidentally followed me back from a hunt? People at your school were affected and there were too many questions we couldn't answer?"

He lost Dad going to Stanford and now he lost that normal life he'd wanted, all his friends, everything except Dean. He didn't need to give their father more of a reason to be pissed at him. Not only that, but Dean was on their Dad's bad side now because of him and he didn't want either of them to lose Bobby on top of it all. "I know... I just meant you mention visiting him pretty often, man, and I know he's your best source when it comes to cases a lot of the time." He paused, hesitantly. "Wouldn't mind seeing him again either anyway."
He tipped his head back at Dean's suggestion, thumb still brushing his brother's hand. "Yeah. Best bet is something to do with hunting... and if they don't suspect anything, I don't think they'd look too far into it."

Dean nodded when Sam agreed to his suggestion. In truth, Dean figured it would be a lot easier for Dad to swallow the idea that Dean had somehow screwed up Sam's life at school with his hunting mistakes than because they were fucking.
"We'll think of something. Hell, we could set the apartment on fire on the way out, just for authenticity." He smiled wryly.

He snorted at Dean's suggestion. "Yeah, pretty sure we don't want the cops after us for suspected arson, dude."
no subject
"Spoilsport." He smiled and tugged gently on his brother's hand. "C'mon. Our little dude's waiting for us."

He glanced over at Sam curiously. "You wanna drive back?"

... Really weird thought, even considering them being taken for just a normal couple, but it wasn't bad. He paused at the question, giving a curious look.
Dean was probably just trying to make him feel better, keep him distracted... "Nah, that's okay, man. Why don't we get back to the motel and you can stay with Ozzy while I go on that snack and beer run? Bet he'll want a walk..."
And as much as he loved Dean's company, a little bit of space to himself to get his head on straight wouldn't be a bad thing.

He led the way to the car and reluctantly dropped Sam's hand as he moved to the driver's seat once more.

He took them back to the hotel and parked near their room. Inside, Ozzy was all excited jumping and wiggling. Especially once Dean went for the harness and leash.

Okay, so maybe he didn't plan on coming right back. Dean had offered him the keys, figured that meant it was okay to just drive around town to try and clear his head, figure out what to do. Dean didn't seem to be in a hurry to go back, kept suggesting that they hang out for a bit... and Sam just hated being without a plan entirely.
What the hell was he supposed to do with no school to go to? No future to push towards...
During his time out, he found some grocery store to stop up and loaded up on junk food-- candy, chips, beer. Anything that caught his eye. After that, he made a stop off by the liquor store to grab a couple bottles- rum and whiskey this time. Vodka had ended up with Dean cuffed to the couch last time they had it.
Finally though, he did come back, stepping into their room carrying the bags. "M'back... Dean!"
