So, Sam checked around, asked a few friends, and finally found a nice little secluded spot for him and Dean to take that little camping trip they'd planned forever ago. All that had been left was getting supplies together, making plans, and then waiting for the time off to go. But it had all happened and it had all gone smoothly, thankfully. He'd been looking forward to this for awhile after all.

Soon as they'd gotten away from the heavy traffic, gotten off by themselves, Sam hadn't had any problem curling up against Dean in the Impala either as they drove. Mostly just contentedly leaning against him, chatting if something came to mind or just watching the scenery pass them by. His hand rested against the other's thigh sometimes, just affectionately touching or squeezing him.

Sam didn't miss the hunting, but sometimes he missed this... the car rides with Dean when things were comfortable enough conversation wasn't always necessary and they were just content in enjoying the others' company

They weren't too far from their campsite now, from the directions he'd gotten and Sam couldn't deny he was getting a little excited over it.

He leaned his head on the other's shoulder, eyes darting up to his face for a few moments as a smile curled his lips. He moved again soon enough, shifting until his lips were grazing the Dean's jaw affectionately. "So, after we get set up, what are we doing first?"

Sam tilted his head back and smiled up at the other, kissing at the other's cheek. "I am, Dean... don't worry."

He shrugged. "It's been nice, right? Just you and me, nothing chasing after us... getting to be brothers again." A pause, his expression thoughtful for a moment. "Well, more than just brothers, I guess..."

"I like that it's just us. I don't mind seeing your friends and hanging out and stuff, but it's nice to come home and it's just you and me." He grinned. "And the puppy."

One of Sam's friends was puppy-sitting for them this weekend. Dean had initially thought to bring Ozzy along, but he started to worry the pup might get loose and there was a whole lot of woods for him to get lost in.

"Glad that you're trying to get along with my friends, you know? I really am." He laughed a little under his breath at that. "But yeah... like it when it's just the three of us too. We've never got to do this... anything this normal."

Normal by their standards anyway and he'd take that over the life Dad raised them in any day.

"I always wanted you to have friends and the life and stuff you wanted, Sammy. If I can make nice with your friends, I'm gonna try." He nuzzled at Sam's temple and sighed happily. Sure, this wasn't 'normal' by the rest of the world's standards, but they were happy. Happiness was worth more to him than normalcy.

His expression softened at those words, fingers rubbing up Dean's sides affectionately. It was--nice to hear Dean say that, nice to have somebody on his side. He let his eyes drift shut a moment, just focusing on how Dean felt close to him, pressed up against him.

"Thanks, Dean... Means a lot, that you're trying all of this. Know it wasn't... easy. I mean, it's a big step."

"You're worth the effort." He tightened his grip and sighed softly against Sam's hair. His hand started moving again, rubbing the long line of Sam's spine. They should move soon, but he was so comfortable.

As much as he liked being tangled with Dean here... they had a lot of stuff planned and he figured they should get to it, really. Smiling as he drew away, he gave his brother a quick kiss. "Come on, Dean... we have time to do this later. We got a swim to take, right?"

"Mmm-hmm. Did you wanna swim now or wait 'till later?" He asked as he slowly got to his feet and stretched. Once he was upright and brushed the leaves and debris from his clothes, he grabbed Sam up in a long, deep kiss. Because he could.

He gave a thoughtful hum at that, just about to answer when Dean pulled him into a kiss--and all he could do was melt into it, arms easing around his brother's shoulders to pull him in closer.

"Mm, how about now?" he murmured softly after it had ended. "Could use a little cool down."

"You're gonna get naked with me, Sammy?" He wiggled his eyebrows, slowly unwrapping his arms from around Sam. His hands ghosted over his brother's body lightly. The cold water was going to be interesting, but as long as it got him Sam naked, he was willing to give it a shot.

"Gonna do a lot more, if you play your cards right, Dean." He flashed his own playful look, turning his back to Dean as he started to strip out of his clothes and kick off his shoes for swimming. Taking his sweet time because teasing Dean? Always fun.

Dean, on the other hand, hurried right out of his clothes and shoes. It gave him more time to watch Sam, unobstructed. He smirked a little at having Sam's back to him. That was alright. The view from the back was just fine.

"I'll play anything you want, however you want, Sammy."

He turned around, starting to back up a little towards the lake. "That's what I like to hear, dude. First, you can start by getting your ass over here and get in the water with me."

He had a feeling it was going to be cold.

"Yes, master," Dean answered back playfully and hurried to catch up to Sam. He kissed his brother as he walked into the water. Yeah, it was cold, but not unbearable.

He returned that kiss and--oh god. The water was cold. he was glad Dean was close enough to press against to share a little bit of warmth with. "Mm, Dean..."

Dean wrapped his arms tight around Sam and moved them out until they were waist deep in the waiter. He kissed and nuzzled his brother's neck and shoulder. "Love you."

Sam paused, letting his body adjust to the temperature of the water as he pressed himself close to Dean, tipping his head to the side as Dean kissed and nuzzled at him. "Yeah... Love you too, Dean. More each day."

"Mmm... me too. Always." Dean rubbed his hands along his back and sides. Held him close to him chest and sighed happily. They weren't exactly swimming, but it was still nice.

He leaned in, nuzzling at Dean, breathing out softly before drawing away a little to meet his brother's eyes. "Not jumping into the really fun stuff yet, dude."

Dean had teased him, he got to tease back.

"Awwww, that's no fun." He gave a mock pout as Sam pulled away. There was a kind of smirky look on his brother's face. Sam could be devious when he wanted to. "What're we gonna do instead?"

"What do you think?" He asked, arching a curious brow before giving Dean a bit of a splash. "Swim. I mean, that is what you suggested, right?"

He gave a shrug. "Think you can catch me, dude?"

Oooh, that meant war. Dean gave him a good splash in return. "I can always keep up with you, dude." He grinned.

And Sam was already backing up, bringing his hand up to try and block that splash he got in return. "Yeah? Are you sure about that, Dean? Wouldn't wanna wear you out or anything."

"Not a chance, Sam." Dean dove at him, trying to drag him down under the water with him.

He let out a noise when the other dove at him, dragging him flailing and protesting under the water. "Jerk!" He sputtered, but he was grinning anyway.
