<sub>[Dean needed the sleep. He deserved it, so Sam hadn't come back to the motel room that night. He'd found another place to wait out the day, get some rest himself. He came back that night though... couldn't stay away. What he should have done was get out as fast as he could, as far away from Dean so he didn't have to follow him, could forget about him eventually... maybe.

But he didn't do that.

He checked around to make sure Dad's truck wasn't anywhere to be seen before he went to check the door, tapping on it to be let in. Figured Dean'd be locked up and he didn't want to break in if Dean was there tonight.]

I'm not brooding! This isn't brooding, Dean... _{[He let out a huff and nodded slowly.]} Are you tired or anything? Go ahead and get some sleep. I'll stay.

No way, I slept most of the day...and I made the mistake of trusting you about that before. [He sighed heavily, trying to figure out what the fuck to do] Look, about all this...I don't know if it helps, but if this makes you feel any better I did consider you turning me ya know. I mean how could I not? That way it could be you and me forever...I just couldn't. But I don't want you thinking you're a monster for thinking about it, alright?

_{[That got a watered down glare, but he kept his mouth shut arguing it.]} No, alright. Just the fact that I need blood to survive makes me a monster.

_{[He snorts at that.]} You do realize how fucked up it is for a hunter to say that, right?

_{[Sam eased in a little closer, reaching out to touch his shoulder lightly, looking down.]} Dean, you know, you really don't have to follow me. I don't want to be a burden on you or make you change your whole life around... I'm really not going to kill myself.

This is going to sound pathetic...mostly because it is, but I don't have much of a life that doesn't involve you. [He looks down, really uncomfortable] I don't know if this is a good idea...I don't know what I should do, and you don't know what I should do...so for right now I'm sticking around.

_{[That gets Sam to curl in a little further, wrapping his arms around Dean tightly and drawing him in for a hug, burying his face against his shoulder.]} No matter how much I think you should stay away from me... you're all I got, Dean. I don't want to lose that too.

I know Sam [He let himself be pulled into the hug and wrapped his arms tightly around the younger man] I never wanna have to leave you, you know that.

_{[He pressed himself in closer, not wanting to pull away.]} I'm sorry... I'm making this harder on you.

No it's okay. [He leaned his head on Sam's shoulder, wishing things were different and he could just tell Sam to turn him and get it over with]

_{[It wasn't like he couldn't get away if he wanted to... but Dean doing anything to himself stopped that idea. So all he could do was cling and try not to cry.]} So do we get put of here?

It's...uh...it's getting kind of late, is it safe to go? We can only travel at night now obviously and I don't wanna get stuck somewhere. [He held Sam tighter like he might disappear]

Yeah, you're probably right. _{[He tipped his head back, eying the other,]} If you don't mind me crashing in your bed, I guess we can stay here until tomorrow night?

Yeah...yeah that's fine [He forced himself to pull away and sat back down on the giant bed] You need anything before daytime happens? I don't really know how vampires work.

_{[He went to kick off his shoes before settling on one edge of the bed.]} No... uh, as long as any sunlight doesn't get it. It really hurts, man.

Yeah, no problem [He got back to his feet and started pulling the curtain closed on the few windows before kicking off his shoes and awkwardly removing his pants. He usually slept in just a shirt and boxers but sharing a bed with his brother meant searching through his duffel for his rarely used sleep pants] If I have to go anywhere tomorrow I'll pull the blanket over you, okay? [Once he was dressed he returned to his side of the bed and started to get under the covers]

_{[Sam hadn't bothered undressing besides the shoes. He didn't want Dean to feel even weirder about this and really, he was too tired to care about it. He nodded and huddled under the covers. He curled into himself a little.] Thanks, Dean...}

[Dean stayed quiet for a few minutes, laying there in the dark before he couldn't take it anymore] Hey Sam? What's it feel like? I mean besides the hunger.

_{[He shifted, rolling to face Dean at the question.]} Overwhelming sometimes... I can hear things I couldn't before and smell things... I'm stronger and faster than I could have ever been as a human. It's a lot to get used to, but... I guess it's not too bad despite the hunger.

Yeah? [He adjusted to face Sam, a tiny smile on his face]. That's kinda cool. Like superman....with bloodlust.

_{[That actually got a laugh out of him.]} I guess so. Too bad the sun's my weakness instead of kryptonite too.
